Great news – just heard that Amazon have just delivered Gate of Tears to a customer in Australia! There’s a lot about gold mining and the Australian goldrush in the Gate of Tears, and how it was first discovered (the official discovery is attributed to a minister of the church, no less).
It’s a really fascinating topic that led me into gold mining in Alaska, Nevada and elsewhere – like India, where it is said that the first gold mine ever was established. Ah well, plenty more in the book. Death and mayhem too, all caused by gold. So what’s new?
